RIO: LET'S DANCE

With the real Carnaval recently behind us, wanted to share the cacophony of color and detail from Rio's Samba show. It was the highlight of our 'Rio nightllife" tours, and it was a great experience to watch such a vibrant dance. Each costume was more elaborate than the previous, and each dance was more energetic than the last. Hats, Skirts, and headpieces twirled around the stage creating a big bright bold rainbow of life.

RIO: CARNAVAL TIME

One of our most incredible nights in Rio was the Plataforma Samba display. We got the chance to live the spriit of Carnaval, though it was November not March! I LOVED the costumes and the fast paced dance moves. It was incredible to watch the twirling of the gowns across the stage, one brighter than the next. The details and fabrics were intricately embellished, proving that MORE is definitely MORE.

LA EATS: DINETTE

I am not a food blogger, but one bite into this poached egg and waffle brunch, and I had to share! Echo Park's newest brunch place hit the spot with its fresh, simple fare. Dinette is a casual eatery on Sunset Blvd but the food is perfect for sharing and savoring during a slightly indulgent weekend morning.

ECHO PARK SATURDAY

Love playing tourist in my own city, and thus I ventured East on one hot Saturday a few weeks ago. Met up with a friend for brunch (coming soon) and then wandered around Echo Park's streets to enjoy the artisan life. Had photographed this shop last year, and was curious what was new.
