MOROCCAN ART

"You'll know it when you see it!" It was said that the perfect souvenir will jump out at you when you least expect it. I definitely have colorful taste, and this 7 foot painting jumped/popped/exploded off the wall. If I had an extra 25,000 dirham, it would have been instantly rolled up and taken home. I am still researching the name of the artist, but the small gallery in Essaouira had the most modern art we came across in Morocco. I love the expressionist brushstrokes which enhance the vibrant hues. Broad gestures evoke the Moroccan landscape but remain loosely abstract. What a colorful life!
