VALLEY ROWE: ART COLLABORATIVE

Valley Rowe in Portland has a great collection of diverse artists. Founded by Pate Gonzalez and Kevin Van Driesche, the newly opened gallery shop in the Pearl District showcases encaustic, fiber arts and traditional paint media. The felted panels are especially unique, layers of felted wool stitched together to resemble sea and earth striations. Although abstract in nature, most of my favorite pieces seemed to represent the natural, Northwest landscape.
