IN LOVE WITH MARBLING

I had to share these gorgeous Silk scarves we found in Kapadokya. We only saw them in our hotel, so did not get the chance to see how they were made in the artisan workshops. I love how the marbling resembles the painted sunset sky that night.

Come back on Monday for several process features, showcasing behind the scenes of creative arts. From carpet weaving and Indigo dyeing to ceramic painting and pottery throwing, it will be a week of Art and Craft. Some are native Turkish crafts, and others I recently partiicipated in a local backyward. 

Although I still have a lot of Turkish inspiration waiting to be shared, I might sprinkle it in in more sporadic doses. Also want to feature a few of my favorite Turkish towns outside of Istanbul. Stay tuned for an exciting month!
