THINGS TO LOVE: CAVALIA

I finally got to see the new Cavalia spectacle,"Odysseo." It was electrifying to watch such a gorgeous display of beautiful creatures. Cirque shows amaze me because it's stupefying to think what the human body is capable of when in tip top shape. Not only were there acrobatics on the floor and in the air, but on horses! Odysseo definitely showcased the animals' natural abilities, power and grace.

Accoridng to one yelp reviewer, "Cavalia was unreal. It captures the most talented of circus performers and horse trainers; alongside well-trained horses. Odysseo was Cavalia's 2nd attempt at visual artistry. The acrobatics were unbelievable! My favorite was a carousel act in which a carousel came down from the top of the tent and the acrobats defied gravitty as they repelled sideways using their core muscles as the muscles moved in a circular motion. The show managed to bring the artistic nature of the horse to the audience and because the creator/founder is one of Cirque de Soleil's creative directors; it had jaw-dropping physical acrobats and athleticism." I highly recommend it.
