LOTUS BLEU: SUMMER BLOOMS

Lotus Bleu has been shaped by designer Jeannie Fraise's love of travel, artistic background, and design experience. She loves to layer colorful and graphic modern textiles and accessories to create playful but "real" living spaces. 

The boutique in the heart of Hayes Valley is a unique source for home design in San Francisco. With annual trips to France and Southeast Asia, the owner has gathered and customized an exciting selection of home textiles, lighting and accessories with a modern twist on traditional materials and motifs. These items are chosen with particular attention to rich colors, bold patterns, modern prints, hand-embroidered details and luxurious fabrics. In addition, Lotus Bleu offers a collection of vintage furniture pieces reupholstered and updated in the exclusive fabrics they carry from Europe.

In honor of this beautiful summer weather and Mother's day, I wanted to share some gorgeous bouquets from San Francisco's Birch. Birch is one of my favorite shops in Hayes Valley, as the black walls are the perfect complement to the bright blooms. For the next few days, I will be showcasing several of the beautiful arrangements that inspired me when I visited Birch on my last trip to San Francisco. 

I also wanted to mention that posting on this blog will start becoming a bit more sporadic. I plan to continue documenting and sharing big, bright and bold inspiration, but my new job has become increasingly busy. Sporadic might mean having one, two or three posts per week. If I'm especially inspired, I will share several posts in a "themed" week, such as this week. I love working on this blog, but I want the posts to be fresh and interesting. I have begun to realize that quality is more important than quantity, and this blog is no exception. I hope you continue to visit and enjoy the content.
