Deciding to visit a few local favorites, I headed to Abbot Kinney in Venice. Colcha, Abbot Kinney's haven for world inspired furniture, art and accessories is beautifully curated, the displays organized by color and texture. From pop Moroccan poofs to Indian block print pillows, the boutique showcases goods from across the globe. The owner's mission - to interpret the uniquely casual lifestyle and eclectic yet sophisticated aesthetic of Los Angeles - certainly beckons.

The textures and colors of Colcha are helping me count down the days to my own Morocco adventure. According to its founder, "Colcha has a unique and wonderful feeling - warm, vibrant and interesting, all at the same time! It's a living space - alive with style, energy and hospitality." No wonder it is such an inviting store!

The DVF for Gap collection came out in mid March, and even the window displays are fearless. The pop patterns leap out of the windows of the Santa Monica Gap, perfectly bright for the sunny Saturday street scene. If only those bold brush strokes came in my size!
